Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year
Get ready for the new year with these key dates and times, school supply lists, and other information.
First Day of Classes
On Monday, August 31, 2026, students will meet their homeroom teachers on the back field to begin the school year. Homeroom teacher assignments will be emailed directly to students and families on Friday, August 28, 2026, so students will know what teacher to meet on the back field. Staff will be outside to help direct students as they arrive.
Our school doors do not open until 8:55 AM. Students dropped off earlier than this time are expected to wait outside. If you are picking up your student at the end of the school day, they need to be picked up within 10 minutes of dismissal time, or by 4:00 PM Monday to Thursday and 1:40 PM on Fridays.
Parents, should you need to speak with someone in the main office, we ask that you wait till after 9:30 AM to enter the school. Please enter through the main doors.
Students and parents will be able to log in to MyCBE on August 31 to gain access to student timetables.
Office Hours
The school office will be open to parents beginning Wednesday August 26, 2026. The office hours will be 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Wednesday and Thursday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Regular office hours will resume on Monday, August 31, 2026. Regular office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday and 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Fridays.

Lunch Supervision
All Grade 4-6 students eat their lunch in their homerooms during the first half of lunch. Grades 7-9 are outside for the first half of lunch and may enter the school for the second half of lunch to eat in their designated area.
Lockers
All students will be assigned a locker and a lock for the school year. Some students will be required to share a locker.

Yellow School Bus Transportation

School Supplies
All students will receive instruction in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science, Physical Education, Health and Wellness, Band/Music, French as a Second Language, and Character Education.
Each grade 4, 5, & 6 classrooms will have shared and/or individual resources that include:

You will need to provide your child with:
- backpack
- 1 pair athletic running shoes for PE (NO skateboard shoes please)
- any extras that they wish
Grade 7 to 9
The following is a general list of supplies that will be required to be brought to school by all Grade 7, 8 & 9 students at Fairview. Students are responsible for replacing these items as they are depleted throughout the year. Please ensure that all items are labeled.

Student supplies need to be replenished throughout the year. Please check with your child to ensure they still have the needed supplies. We strongly suggest updating supplies mid to late January.

Off-Site Activities
