To streamline communication with families, moving forward, we will be posting a weekly message on Sunday evenings. You may still receive grade and/or event specific messages via School Messenger, D2L or Google Classroom.

• December 6^th – Grade 4 Music Concert @ Fairview 12 noon 
• December 6^th – Grade 6 Music Concert @ Fairview 2pm 
• December 12^th- Grade 7-9 Choir and General Music Concert @ Fairview 7pm

• Reading Challenge – November 1^st to December 20^th. 
• EP Scarlett High School Advanced Placement Information Session – November 20^th at 5:30pm. 

Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences 

Conferences are being held on November 28^th and 29^th.  Please see dates and times in our important dates section.  Parents can access appointment booking through your MyCBE account. If you need any help please use this link: Conference Booking Help Page  

Due to the tight schedule, number of teachers and locations of teachers we are asking that parents book AT MINIMUM 5 min between all bookings to make sure you can get to your next appointment. If you book all your appointments back to back you risk missing them.  you risk 

Athletics: 

Only parents/guardians and siblings (supervised by parents/guardians) may attend our basketball games.  All other visitors/spectators will be asked to leave.  This is due to limited space and safety for our basketball players.  

• November 18 – Senior Girls' Basketball at Fairview 
• November 19 – Senior Boys’ Basketball at Wilma Hansen 
• November 20 – Junior Girls’ Basketball at Griffith Woods 
• Playoffs begin week of November 25th 

Fairview Parent Advisory Council Updates: 

• December 10 - Council Meeting 6:30 pm sharp, ONLINE.  Link will be sent out prior to the meeting 

Extended Absences 

All students missing 5 days or more must complete an Extended Absence form prior to their first day of absence.  Parents must remember that they are responsible for the child completing the necessary school work while they are away. Please print and submit the attached form if you are planning an extended absence. You can also google “Extended Absence Form CBE”. 

Traffic Safety: 

Please obey all posted traffic signs for drop off/pick-up and parking.  Do not park in the city bus zone.  For student safety do not U-turn at the crosswalks on Fairmount Drive. 

End of Day Student Pick Up 

Should you be picking up your student at the end of the school day and need to advise the student of pick up, please do so before 3:30pm Monday to Thursday or 1:15pm on Fridays.
